Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist Women's Soccer players Alicia Zamora and Kirstine Lykke were tabbed as NAIA All-Americans by the national office Monday.
Zamora was named to the first team while Lykke earned third team honors.
Zamora, a senior from Valladolid, Spain landed on the first team after earning third team recognition as a sophomore in 2021. In her final season, she captained the Eagles to a 19-3-1 overall record and a flawless mark of 11-0 in the Heart of America.
Zamora anchored the Central defense to nine shut out wins, giving up less than one goal/contest. In addition, she scored five goals including two game winners while dishing out an assist.
For her efforts in conference play, Zamora was tabbed as both the Heart Player and Defensive Player of the Year, and earned first team recognition for the third-straight season. For her performance in the national tournament, Zamora was recognized as a member of the NAIA National Championship All-Tournament team.
Lykke had a remarkable junior campaign in her first season with the Eagles in 2023.
The native of Haderslev, Denmark, played in 21 games with 18 starts as a forward. She tallied a team-leading 20 goals, tied for fifth most in a single season in program history. Six of her goals proved to be game winners. Lykke also dished out three assists.
She joined Zamora as a member of the Heart All-Conference First Team and was named the Heart Newcomer of the Year.
Central won their fifth-straight Heart Regular Season Championship and punched their ticket to the final site for the fourth-time in the past five years this fall.
CMU advanced all the way to the NAIA National Quarterfinals for the third time in the last four years.
