Central Methodist University encourages responsible tailgating to enhance the game-day experience, ensure a safe atmosphere for all fans and preserve the beauty of the entire campus.

Responsible tailgating is available for all CMU fans before home football games. The Eagle Tailgate Zone, located off of Mulberry Street in the northeast football game day parking lot, is the designated location. The Eagle Tailgate Zone will open four hours before kickoff.

Tailgate spots are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve your spot or for more information, contact Tim Crowley, Assistant Athletic Director. A tailgate spot can also be pre-purchased and reserved here.

EAGLE TAILGATE ZONE PROCEDURES

  • Everyone must have a game-day football ticket to enter the Eagle Tailgate Zone. Gameday tickets will be sold at the entrance of the tailgate. CMU faculty, staff, and students must all have a ticket to enter the Eagle tailgate zone and game.

  • Tailgate spaces in the tailgate area are limited to a maximum of one vehicle per space. Tent spaces are available behind the tailgate parking lot, weather permitting.

  • The Eagle Tailgate Zone opens four hours before kickoff and closes ten minutes before the start of kickoff. (No half-time or post-game tailgating is allowed.)

  • Alcohol is only permitted in the Eagle Tailgate Zone on home football game days and only during the designated times.

  • Individuals reserving spots are responsible for the cleaning of all trash in their area before leaving.

 EAGLE TAILGATE ZONE POLICIES

The Eagle Tailgate Zone is monitored by Commissioned Fayette/Missouri Police Officers.  Tailgate parties must monitor their service of alcohol and may not serve alcohol to minors (under 21). Unattended alcohol will be confiscated.

All Eagle Tailgate Zone participants are expected to respect and follow all policies and procedures. If policies are not followed, those in violation may lose privileges for the remainder of the season.
