Kansas City, Mo. - Thirteen members of the Central Methodist Volleyball program were named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes, which was released by the national office Tuesday morning.
The group of 13 are among 1,206 student-athletes across the country who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution.
Central Methodist was represented by the following student-athletes; Addison Butler, Annabelle Maassen, Ashlee Flowers, Aubrey Calhoun, Cocone Matsuzawa, Dejah Flowers, Gimena Dezeo, Jessica Mowry, Karli Wolfe, Krystal Brauner, Lydia Elder, Paula Boser, and Yaeriliz Maysonet Santiago.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
