Baldwin City, Kan. - The No. 22 Central Methodist Volleyball program completed another sweep Tuesday night, this time over Heart South Division foe Baker University by scores of 25-15, 25-18, and 25-16 in Baldwin City, Kan.
CMU improves to 14-6 and 8-2 in the Heart action. Baker falls to 8-12 and 3-7 in conference play. In addition, tonight's win marks the Eagles' third-straight victory, and their eighth sweep in their last nine contests.
Senior Callie Henson led all attackers with 11 kills in addition to two digs and a block assist. Morgan LeBlanc matched her season-high with nine kills on 18 swings for a .444 hitting percentage.
The duo of Annabelle Maassen and Delaney Miller each finished the evening with seven kills. Maassen also added five digs and a pair of service aces.
Junior setter Gabi Owczarek dished out a match-high 24 assists in addition to four digs and a service ace. Fellow setter Ryleigh McBurney also reached double-digit assists with 13 assists.
Krystal Brauner led the defense with 17 digs while also adding a match-high three service aces and a pair of assists.
As a unit, CMU finished the evening hitting .273 compared to just .066 for the Wildcats.
Central remains on the road and will next take on Peru State College Friday, Oct. 13 at 7:00 p.m. in Peru, Neb.
