Eagles Knock off Missouri Valley in Four Sets

Fayette, Mo. - The No. 19 Central Methodist Volleyball program picked up a four-set win over Missouri Valley College Tuesday night inside Puckett Field House.

Central improves to 17-6 and 11-2 in conference play, while the Vikings fall to 14-13 and 6-7 in the Heart. In addition, CMU has now defeated Missouri Valley 12 straight times dating back to the beginning of the 2018 season.

After dropping set one 25-23 to MVC, the Eagles rattled off victories in the next three sets, 25-19, 25-19, and 25-16 to come away with a 3-1 victory. Central saved their best set for last, hitting .300 while committing just two errors. Missouri Valley hit just .029 while committing nine errors.

Senior Callie Henson led the Eagles' attack with 15 kills in addition to seven blocks and five digs. She is now just 50 kills shy of tying the career program record set by Darcy Latham from 2014-17 (1462).

Morgan LeBlanc followed with eight kills, two digs and two blocks. Delaney Miller had the most efficient night of all CMU attackers, as the Buffalo, Missouri native hit .500 with seven kills and only one attack error.
