Fayette, Mo. - The No. 20 Central Methodist Volleyball program knocked off Mount Mercy University in another three-set sweep Saturday afternoon inside Puckett Field House.
The Eagles improve to 11-5 and 5-1 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Mount Mercy falls to 11-5 and 4-2 in conference action. It also marks the Eagles' fifth consecutive sweep, and their seventh win in their last eight contests.
Sydney Healy led the offensive charge with 11 kills in addition to three digs and a block. The duo of Annabelle Maassen and Delaney Miller each tallied eight kills, while Maassen nearly secured a double-double with eight digs.
Joana Milho and Morgan LeBlanc each chipped in six kills, followed by Callie Henson with five.
Ryleigh McBurney dished out a team-high 24 assists while Gabi Owczarek recorded 13. Krystal Brauner led the defenisve effort with 25 digs. Alyssa Smith finished the afternoon with 12 digs.
As a team, Central hit .231 for the afternoon compared to just .148 for the Mustangs
Central remains at home to host No. 8 nationally ranked Park University Tuesday, Sept. 26 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House. The Pirates currently sit atop the conference standings with a 10-2 record and a 4-0 mark in the Heart of America.
