Kansas City, Mo. - For the first time in 2023, Central Methodist Senior opposite hitter Callie Henson was named the Heart Attacker of the Week by the conference office Monday. 

Henson and the Eagles posted a 2-0 record this past week, including a five-set thriller over Benedictine College Friday night in Atchison. The native of Jefferson City, Mo. native averaged, 3.75 kills/set in addition to a .466 hitting percentage in Central's two matches. 

Against the Ravens, Henson rattled off a season-high 20 kills in the five-set win, the second-highest total of her career. Overall, she finished the week with 30 kills and 11 blocks. 

Henson and the Eagles will host Baker University Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 7:00 p.m. on Halloween night. Central will honor its 2023 Senior Class prior to the match as part of Senior Night festivities.
