Fayette, Mo. - The No. 20 Central Methodist Volleyball program bounced back with a sweep of Heart foe Grand View University by scores of 25-6, 25-15, and 25-14 Friday night inside Puckett Field House. 

The Eagles notch their first conference win of the year, and improve their overall record to 7-5. Grand View drops to 1-9 overall and 1-1 in Heart action. 

Central came out firing on all cylinders in the first set, hitting .304 with only two attack errors. The Vikings struggled throughout set one, hitting in the negative and committing nine errors. CMU jumped out to a 10-0 lead, which was highlighted by four service aces from junior setter Gabi Owczarek. 

Despite Grand View improving its offensive production in the second set, Central still cruised to a 10-point win in set two to take a 2-0 lead in the match. The Eagles closed the match out with a 25-14 win in the final frame to complete the sweep. 

As a team, CMU hit .290 for the match. Senior Callie Henson led the charge with 11 kills followed by Morgan LeBlanc with seven. Sydney Healy and Joana Milho each tallied five kills while Delaney Miller added four. 

Owczarek dished out a team-best 23 assists while also serving up six service aces. Fellow setter Ryleigh McBurney added 10 assists and Krystal Brauner and Annabelle Maassen each recorded 13 digs. 

Central remains at home and will host William Penn Saturday, Sept. 16 at 1:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
