Fayette, Mo. - The No. 18 Central Methodist Volleyball program fell to Heart foe Benedictine College in four sets Tuesday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central's record now stands at 6-5 and 0-1 in conference play, while the Ravens improve to 9-2 and 1-0 in the Heart.
CMU battled early on in set one, before ultimately falling in the first frame 28-26. After a tough set two, which saw the Ravens cruise to a 25-9 win, Central responded in the third, winning the frame 25-20.
CMU was unable to force set five, as Benedictine took the match with a 25-17 win in the fourth.
Sydney Healy led the offensive with 11 kills while Delaney Miller added 10. Newcomer Morgan LeBlanc finished the evening with seven kills in addition to 12 digs.
Joining LeBlanc with double-digit digs included Krystal Brauner (25) and Alyssa Smith (15). Ryleigh McBurney dished out a team-high 21 assists followed by Gabi Owczarek with 17.
Central will remain at home to host Grand View University Friday, Sept. 15 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
