Kansas City, Mo. - Six members of the Central Methodist Men's Soccer team were named Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes by the national office Friday.
This year's list features features 1032 student-athletes spread across 156 institutions who achieved at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at their institution.
Representing CMU are the following student-athletes; Chase Wetzler, Guilherme Pereira, Kyle Newberry, Liam Arthur, Martin O'Toole, and Morris Van Tuinen.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
