Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's and Women's Golf programs took part in the Missouri Valley Spring Invitational last week at Indian Foothills Golf Course in Marshall, Missouri.
The CMU women posted a first place finish with a three-round score of 1082, earning their first tournament win of the year as a team. The CMU men placed fifth with a score of 941.
For the women, Mechelle Vermillion finished second with a three-round score of 254, while Karington Harrell also landed in the Top 10 with a sixth place finish (272), in addition to Kali Brown (8th - 277) and Lauren Williams (9th - 279).
Olivia Kelley rounded out Central's golfers, as she placed 12th with a three round score of 329.
On the men's side, Garrett Rikel tied for sixth with a three-round score of 224 to lead the way for CMU. Cole Wiese also landed in the Top 10 with a 10th place finish (227).
Robbert Hopper (30th - 245), Vance Ross (35th - 254), and Alexander Blase (37th - 271).
