Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's and Women's Golf programs continued fall action at the Big Muddy Shootout, hosted by Missouri Valley College Monday and Tuesday in Marshall, Mo.
The tournament featured a number of local colleges from the region including Columbia College, William Woods, Baptist Bible College, Fort Scott Community College, State Fair Community College, Metropolitan Community College, and Kansas City Kansas Community.
The CMU women posted a fifth place finish while the men placed 12th.
On the women's side, sophomore Mechelle Vermillion posted her second-straight Top 10 finish with a two-round score of 174. Karrington Harrell placed 18th with a final score of 188, followed by Hope Chappel (19th, 189) to round out the Top 20.
Lauren Williams, Emily Molitar, Kali Brown, and Bri Klobe also competed for the Eagles.
For the men, Cole Wiese landed just outside the Top 10 at 11 with scores of 72 and 73 for a total of 145. Daniel Hake, Robert Hopper, Kenneth Lolley, Alexander Blase, Vance Ross were also particants at the Shootout.
Central will next participate in the Columbia College Cougar Classic Oct. 2-3 at Columbia Country Club in Columbia, Mo.
