Quincy, Ill. - The Central Methodist Men's and Women's Golf programs continued fall action at the Culver-Stockton College Fall Classic this past weekend in Quincy, Ill.
The CMU women posted a third place finish with a team score of 739. The men finished fourth with a score of 662.
On the women's side, sophomore Mechelle Vermillion finished second with an overall score of 167. Kali Brown was the next highest finisher for the Eagles, posting a two-round score of 183. Karington Harrell , Caitlyn King, Lauren Williams, and Emily Molitor also competed for the Eagles.
Columbia College won the women's tournament with a team score of 674, followed by Waldorf University posted a team score of 714 to finish second.
For the CMU Men, freshman Cole Wiese was the highest finisher for the Eagles, posting scores of 80 and 76 for a total score of 156. Garrett Rikel also shot under 160 with scores of 78 and 81 for a final score of 159.
Robert Hopper shot 169 over the two-day tournament. Daniel Hake, Kenny Lolley, Alexander Blase, and Vance Ross also took part in the tournament.
Quincy University took home the team title with a score of 612, followed by Culver-Stockton College (618), and Waldorf (636).
Central will next compete at the Heart of America Conference Preview at the Preserve in Moravia, Iowa beginning Monday, Oct. 23.
