Holts Summit, Mo. - The Central Methodist Men's and Women's Golf programs posted several personal bests last week at the William Woods Invitational held at Railwood Golf Course in Holts Summit, Missouri.
The CMU women posted a third place finish out of five teams, while the men finished fourth out of seven teams.
On the women's side, Mechelle Vermillion was the highest finisher for CMU, posting a 12th place finish with a two-round score of 161. Kali Brown (166), Lauren Williams (170), and Karington Harrell (171) finished in 14th, 15th, and 16th place respectively.
For the men, Cole Wiese shot idential rounds of 72 to finish tied for fourth. Teammate Garrett Rikel landed just inside the top 10 with a ninth place standing after finishing with rounds of 72 and 75.
Central will participate in their final regular season tournament of the year when they compete in the Missouri Valley Invitational beginning Monday, April 15 at 9:00 a.m. in Marshall, Mo.
