Marshall, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Golf program posted a second place standing at the Missouri Valley College Spring Invitational in nearby Marshall, Mo.
The field featured 34 golfers represented by six different institutions from Missouri and Kansas.
Highlighting the event for CMU were top eight finishes from Sarah Krenowicz and Hailey Richard. Krenowicz shot a three-round total of 238 to finish third, while Richard finished eighth with a score of 248.
Mechelle Vermillion tied for 10th (250), just two strokes back from her teammate Richard. Logan Allen (T14, 254) and Alea Andrade (T17, 260) rounded out Central's top five golfers.
As a team, the Eagles shot a three-round score of 988. Columbia College won the team championship with a final score of 984, just four strokes ahead of Central.
The Eagles will next compete in the William Penn Spring Invitational beginning Monday, April 17 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
