Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist junior guard TreVon Smith was tabbed as the Heart Men's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
It marks the second Heart Weekly award for Smith.
He averaged 26.5 points/game through two games which included a 103-90 home victory over William Penn and a 74-64 loss to Graceland.
Against the Statesmen, Smith scored a career-high 39 points on 13-of-23 from the field. In addition, he finished shooting 56.9 percent and grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds to secure a double-double on the night.
The native of Campbellsville, Kentucky currently leads the Eagles in scoring with 17.8 points through the first 24 games of the year. He has scored 20-plus points on 10 different occasions including a pair of 30-point performances.
Smith and the Eagles will next play Missouri Valley College on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Marshall, Mo.
