
Fayette, Mo. - CMU Men's Basketball pushed their winning streak to five with an 89-79 win over Clarke University Monday night inside Puckett Field House.
The Eagles improve their overall record to 14-2 and 10-2 in the Heart of America. Clarke falls to 3-13 and 1-11 in conference action.
Central had a balanced scoring attack throughout the evening, as all five starters reached double figures. Everett Stubblefield led the way with 17 points in addition to six rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Trey Sinegal followed with 12 points, three rebounds and a pair of steals. All of Sinegal's points came from beyond the arc.
Peter Turay followed with 11 points and seven rebounds, while Isaiah May tallied a double double, scoring 10 points and grabbing a game-high 11 rebounds.
TreVon Smith rounded out Central's double-digit scorers with 10 points, while Isaiah Williams nearly cracked double figures with nine. Marcus Anthony chipped in eight points, four rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Trent Lyles added seven points and dished out a game-high four assists.
The Eagles dominated the glass, outrebounding the Pride 41-27. Central also converted 20-of-25 of their attempts from the charity stripe and knocked down 11 three-point baskets.
Central remains at home to host Culver-Stockton College Thursday, Jan. 18 at 7:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
