Eagles Cruise Past Kansas Christian Saturday Night

Eagles Cruise Past Kansas Christian Saturday Night

Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Basketball team cruised past Kansas Christian College by a score of 121-32 Saturday night inside Puckett Field House.

Central improves to 2-0 while the Falcons fall to 0-1

The Eagles started the game strongly and never looked back, dropping 27 first-quarter points while shooting 48 percent from the field and 25 percent from long range.

The defense was also on lockdown, holding the Falcons to just five points in the first 10 minutes of play. Strong defense continued as KCC scored just two points in the second, and Central took a 65-7 lead into the locker room at the halftime break.

The Falcons were much improved in the second half, scoring 15 points in the third quarter following 10 in the fourth. But Central's offense was too strong, as the Eagles would go on to win by 89 points.

Kayhla Adams led the offense with 16 points in just 12 minutes of action. Kaelyn Johnson followed with 14 points while the trio of Sharay Trotter, Nautica Washington, and Mary Copeland each chipped in 10.

Bianca Bindzus and Tristan Porter both finished the evening with nine points. Sa'Mya Stevens, Wariya Alhassan, Elli Teubert, and Trishelle Porter all scored eight points.

Altogether, 15 different Eagles scored including five landing in double figures.

Central heads out on the road to face Columbia College on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 5:30 p.m. in Columbia, Mo.
