Des Moines, Iowa - In their final Heart game of 2023, the Central Methodist Women's Basketball team fell to Grand View University, 80-56, Saturday afternoon in Des Moines, Iowa. 

Central falls to 6-5 and 4-4 in the Heart of America, while the Vikings improve to 11-1 and 8-1 in conference action. 

Tynesha Parnell led the Eagle offense with nine points while Sa'Mya Stevens, Sharay Trotter, and Jodie Bass each added eight. Bass also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds to nearly secure a double-double. 

Senior forward B'Aunce Carter tallied seven points and recorded seven rebounds in just 13 minutes of action. 

Trotter also added four rebounds, three blocks, two steals, and an assist. 

Miaya Ware scored six points coming off the bench, while Genet Mebratu finished with four. 

The Eagles will next host Philander Smith Sunday, Dec. 31 at 2:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House for a non-conference matchup.
