Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Basketball team fell in its home finale to MidAmerica Nazarene University by a score of 78-63 Wednesday night inside Puckett Field House.
Central falls to 13-14 and 10-13 in the Heart of America, while the Pioneers improve to 17-10 and 16-6 in conference action.
Senior forward B'Aunce Carter recorded her second-straight 20 plus point performance, tallying 22 points to go along with six rebounds, a steal, and an assist. Both Zutorya Cook and Sharay Trotter chipped in 12 points to round out the double digit scorers for CMU.
Trotter added four rebounds, three blocks, two assists, and an assist to her statline. Cook stuffed the stat sheet with six assists, six rebounds, and three steals.
As a team, Central just edged MNU on the glass, 38-36, with 11 of those boards coming offensively. Turnovers plagued both sides all evening, as CMU committed 24 turnovers while MNU finished the night with 21.
The Eagles shot 41.4 percent from the floor compared to 42.6 percent for MNU. Central converted just two three-point baskets on the night.
CMU will square off against Mount Mercy University Saturday, Feb. 23 at 2:00 p.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in their final regular season game of the year.
