Kansas City, Mo. - Central Methodist junior guard Zutorya Cook was tabbed as the Heart Women's Basketball Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
It marks the first player of the week honor for both Cook and CMU Women's Basketball in 2023-24.
The native of Marietta, Georgia led Central to a 64-62 win over Philander Smith on New Years Eve Sunday. She finished the game with a team-leading 14 points in 35 minutes of action.
In addition, Cook stuffed the stat sheet with five rebounds, five assists, and a game-high four steals.
Cook and the Eagles return to conference action against rival Missouri Valley College Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 5:30 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
