Central Methodist Director of Athletics, Jeff Sherman, announced the hiring of Shannon Jeffrey '95 as the new Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach of Central Methodist University in June, 2023.
"After conducting a national search and interviewing some amazing candidates, it became clear we had the right fit locally with Coach Shannon Jeffrey," said Sherman.
"Jeffrey is a man of high character with exceptional work ethic. He cares deeply about the overall development and wellness of student-athletes, and his knowledge and relationship with Hail Ridge Golf Course are a natural fit for our program."
Jeffrey has over 27 years of experience in public education and coaching including extensive experience in softball, basketball, volleyball, and golf. Jeffrey currently resides in Boonville and has spent time working at Hail Ridge Golf Course this past year.
"It is an honor for me to be the next Head Men's and Women's Golf Coach at Central Methodist University," stated Jeffrey. "I am very excited about this opportunity and look forward to continuing and building the success of the golf program. I am excited to meet our current student-athletes and fill our rosters for this upcoming season."
"Shannon is a Central Alumn which I have known and respected for a long time," added Sherman. "I am proud to have him become a member of our Eagle family. Both our golf programs will flourish under his leadership."
