Brookings, S.D. - The Central Methodist Men's Track & Field program concluded its indoor season by competing in the 2024 NAIA National Championships, held in Brookings, South Dakota this past weekend.
Highlighting the meet for the Eagles was junior sprinter Chris Adekoya. The native of Staten Island, New York clocked a time of 6.70 seconds in the 60m dash finishing third and earning the bronze medal. Chris also matched his own school record in the event.
Caleb Cody-Jackson ran the 400m preliminary race in a time of 49.17 seconds to finish 20th. Leroy Williams ran a preliminary time of 8.18 seconds in the 60m hurdles to finish 11th.
Exavier Coburn competed in the 3000m racewalk, finishing with a time of 15:49.40 to land in the top 20 at No. 18.
In the throws, Brayton Stephenson threw in the shot with a final toss of 15.47 meters to place 20th in his first national meet.
The multi duo of Hunter Mont Cary and Ethan Smith finished ninth and 11th in the heptathlon with 4,780 and 4,729 points respectively.
