Konopka comes to CMU with more than 25 years of experience as an offensive line, tight ends, and strenghth and conditioning coach at the highschool, NAIA and NCAA levels. He will coach the offensive line for Central.
He most recently served as the offensive line coach at Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.
Konopka was a standout offensive lineman for Iowa State University for four seasons, where was named an Honorable Mention All-Big 12 selection. He would graduate from the University in 1997 with a Bachelor's degree of Liberal Arts and Science.
Konopka spent two years in the late 90's playing in the Arena Football League for the Florida Bobcats and Iowa Barnstormers.
