Eagles Fall to No. 25 Baker on Senior Day

Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist Football program fell to Heart South Division foe and No. 25 nationally ranked Baker University by a score of 58-7 Saturday afternoon at Davis Field. 

Prior to the game, Central honored 15 members of its 2023-24 Senior Class, who played their final home game at Davis Saturday. 

Those seniors included; AJ Allen, Alex Muñoz, Samuel Smith, Frank Galios, Jalen LaBella, Nae Roy, Steven Sanchez, Zane Rice, Joseph Slattery, Nyles Pokipala-Waiohu, Joe Cambridge, Arron Edwards, Levine Mbogo, Le'Marcus Washington, and KeShawn Wilson

Cambridge finished the afternoon completing 17 passes for 158 total yards including a touchdown pass in the second quarter to Kam Cole

Allen hauled in four catches for 44 yards while Drake Dudley and Chase Rankin each caught three passes. 

On the defensive side, Dylan Holt recorded a team-high 16 tackles including a tackle for loss. Ashton Stine was the other Eagle to record double digit tackles with 13.

Slattery tallied nine tackles followed by Wilson who added seven in addition to a pass breakup. 

Central will conclude the 2023 season with a road matchup against Heart newcomer Missouri Baptist Saturday, Nov. 11 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Louis.
