Kansas City, Mo. - For the second time this month, the Central Methodist Women's Track & Field program swept the Heart Outdoor Weekly awards, which were announced by the conference office Monday.
Junior Renee Finke was named the Field Athlete of the Week, while senior Dayana Montenegro took home Track Athlete of the Week honors.
Finke took home first place finishes in both the high jump and the 100m hurdles at the Miner Invitational hosted by Missouri S&T. She won the high jump with a height of 1.68m and the 100m hurdles in 14.68 seconds.
Her first place mark in the High Jump hit the 'A' standard for qualification into this year's NAIA Outdoor National Championships.
Montenegro won the women's 400m dash in 56.80 seconds. She also hit the NAIA 'B' Standard of qualification for nationals.
The Eagles are set to host the CMU Invite beginning Friday, March 29 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Davis Field and Hairston Track in Fayette, Mo.
