New Orleans, La. - For the third-straight year, Central Methodist Director of Track & Field/Cross Country, Kenny Anderson, was tabbed as the USTFCCCA South Central Region Women's Indoor Coach of the Year.
Anderson was previously named Coach of the Year in 2023 and 2022.
The honor comes off the heals of Anderson leading the women to a third place finish in the Heart of America Conference Championships last weekend. Central garnered numerous Heart First, Second, and Third Team All-Conference selections including seven individual conference champions.
Higlighting the meet was junior Renee Finke, who was the highest point scorer of the meet with 28 points. The native of Montgomery City, Missouri won both the pentathlon and the high jump and earned a runner-up finish in the 60m hurdles.
For her efforts, she was named the Heart Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet and the South Central Region Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year.
The CMU women are currently ranked No. 4 in the country and are in the top-five in the national Event Squad rankings in five events, led by a No. 1 ranking in the high jump.
Anderson and the Eagles will turn their attention to the NAIA Indoor National Championships, set to take place Feb. 29 - March 2 in Brookings, S.D. Altogether, 19 athletes will compete at the championships, including 12 on the women's side.
