Kansas City, Mo. - For the third time this season, Central Methodist junior middle distance runner Dayana Montenegro was named the Heart Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week by the conference office Monday.
The native of Cali, Colombia broke both the program and meet record in the 600-yard run at the Bearcat Invite last weekend.
She ran the event in 1:22.84, rebreaking her mark by more than a second and hitting the NAIA 'A' Standard for qualification for the NAIA Indoor Track & Field National Championships.
