New Orleans, La. - Coming off a Top 10 finish at the NAIA Indoor National Championships in 2023, the Central Methodist Women's Track and Field program is ranked No. 4 in the first USTFCCCA Indoor Track and Field Ratings index.
The Eagles are the lone representative from the Heart of America Athletic Conference in the Top 25 and are currently ranked No. 1 in the South Central Regional rankings.
With 145.25 points in this first poll, the Eagles are led by several notable athletes, including junior Renee Finke who is No. 2 in the country in both the High Jump and Pentathlon. 2023 National Runner Up in the 600, Dayana Montenegro is No. 3.
Altogether, the Eagles have recorded eight top-10 marks through the early part of the indoor season. CMU also posted a second-place finish at the Redhawks Invite in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on January 13, and finished fifth at the NAIA/JUCO Invitational at Pittsburg State this past weekend.
Central continues competition this weekend at the Principia College Relays in Elsah, Ill.
