Central began the afternoon with a 5-1 victory in game one. The Eagles plated three runs in the second inning, courtesy of a two-RBI single from Madison White to left field followed by an RBI single from Micaela Harcrow

Baker trimmed the lead to 3-1 in the top of the fourth, before CMU answered back with a run in the bottom half of the frame. Central tallied its final run of the game on an RBI single from Harcrow to score Kelena Oots
