Fayette, Mo. - The No. 3 Central Methodist Softball team swept Missouri Valley College in a doubleheader this past Tuesday at Cox Softball Complex.
Central knocked off Missouri Valley by scores of 3-1 and 4-1.
The Eagles plated their runs on RBI singles from Kaysie Jolley in the third, and both Elizabeth Palumbo and Madison White in the fifth inning.
Sophomore Jordyn Ball tossed a complete game and allowed just one earned run in the seventh inning with three hits. She also struck out seven batters en route to her 19th win of the year
Both Jolley and Joely Crider picked up two hits. Altogether, Central scored its three runs on seven hits.
In game two, Central jumped out in front in the bottom of the first on an RBI single from Crider. The Eagles then plated three runs in the third highlighted by a two RBI double from Crider to score both Madison White and Palumbo.
Haile Farris earned her 14th win of the year in the circle, throwing a complete game and giving up just one earned run on five hits and a walk. Additionally, she struck out seven batters.
With the pair of wins, Central clinched its third consecutive Heart Regular Season Championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming conference tournament in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
