Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The No. 1 seeded Central Methodist Softball program made quick work of No. 8 Graceland in their opening game of the Heart of America Conference Tournament Thursday night in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
After battling rain delays throughout day one, Central squared off against Graceland in the second and final game of the evening. The Eagles defeated Graceland by a final score of 15-0 in five innings.
CMU plated eight runs in the first and seven in the second to go up double-digits.
Kaysie Jolley finished the game batting two-for-three with a bases clearing double in the bottom of the first. She would ultimately drive in four total runners while crossing the plate once.
Joely Crider batted a perfect three-for-three with three RBI singles. Elizabeth Palumbo picked up two hits in three at-bats including an RBI double and an RBI single.
Madison White also picked up a pair of doubles while driving in two runners.
Jordyn Ball recorded a no-hitter inside the circle, improving her overall record to 22-0. The sophomore also picked up four strikeouts against 16 batters faced.
The Eagles have pushed their win streak to 27 games, with their last loss coming on March 13.
Central advances in the winner's bracket and will next face No. 5 Grand View Friday, May 3 at 7:30 p.m.
