Central Falls in Final Road Game of 2024 to No. 11 Benedictine

Atchison, Kan. - The Central Methodist Football program squared off against No. 11 Benedictine College Saturday afternoon in Atchison, Kan. 

Central fell to the Ravens by a final score of 49-10. 

Quarterback Gavin Watts completed 10 passes for 104 total yards and a touchdown pass. Junior running back Dawan Lomax carried the ball 13 times for 61 yards, averaging 4.7 yards per carry. Cristian Brice also got significant carries, tallying 10 rushes for 44 yards.

Altogether the run game combined for 107 total yards on the ground. 

Chase Rankin caught Central's lone touchdown pass of the game midway through the fourth quarter. Senior placekicker Oscar Simon converted his field goal attempt, a 24 yarder that found the upright near the end of the first quarter. 

Dylan Holt and Robert Tyree Jackson both tallied six tackles while Kyndal Royal and Nyjahl Vaughn each forced and recovered a fumble. 

The Eagles conclude the 2024 season with a home game against No. 8 MidAmerica Nazarene Saturday, Nov. 16 at 1:00 p.m. at Davis Field.
