
Fayette, Mo. - The No. 16 Central Methodist volleyball program swept Hannibal-LaGrange in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night by scores of 25-15, 25-20, and 25-10 inside Puckett Field House.
With the win, Central improves its overall record to 13-6, while the Trojans fall to 4-18.
The duo of Callie Henson and Joana Milho lead Central's offensive attack with 12 and 10 kills respectively. Delaney Miller nearly cracked double-digit kills with nine, while Annabelle Maassen and Gimena Dezeo added six apiece.
Marina Alonso dished out a match-high 24 assists paired with six digs in addition to a service ace. Fellow setter Gabi Owczarek added 17 assists.
Krystal Brauner led the defenisve effort with 17 digs, followed by Maassen with 13 and Shea Luby eight. Luby also tallied four kills, two assists, a service ace and a block.
Overall, Central's hitters racked up a .327 hitting percentage compared to .000 for the Trojans. CMU also forced 20 Hannibal LaGrange errors and compiled eight blocks.
The Eagles return to conference action when they host Graceland University Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7:00 p.m. inside Puckett Field House.
