Columbia, Mo. - The Central Methodist Women's Cross Country team posted an eighth place finish at the Larry Young Invitational Friday evening in Columbia, Mo. 

The meet, which was held at Gans Creek Cross Country Course, featured 168 total runners across 18 NAIA and NCAA Division II schools. 

Tara Ozinga was Central's highest placer, finishing 19th in the 5K with a time of 19:56.6. Ella Strehlow followed with a 33rd place finish, crossing the line in 20:37.7. 

Morgan Waltmire with the third Eagle to cross the finish line, finishing 60th with a time of 21:35.3. 

Ali Gutierrez (66th - 21:48.8), Molly Milazzo (69th - 21:52.5), Lauren Kennon (106th - 23:38.1), Cynthia Resor (124th - 24:24.1), Ava Wilson (139th - 26:07.2), Madison Horn (141st - 26:16.2), Aliyaha Heron (26:27.2), and Chloe Ross (147th - 27:21.2) also ran for the Eagles Friday. 

CMU will compete in Columbia once again at the Brian Simpson Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 12.
