Women's Wrestling Concludes Regular Season at Jimmy May Open

Baldwin City, Kan. - The (RV) Central Methodist Women's Wrestling team concluded regular season competition at the Jimmy May Open, hosted by fellow Heart institution Baker University Saturday in Baldwin City, Kan.

Sophomore Grace Timmons was Central's highest finisher, as she posted a third place standing in the 180 pound weight class with a 4-1 record. Three of her wins came via fall and her final match of the tournament, the third place match, resulted in a 10-0 Technical Fall victory.

She also picked up a win over No. 18 nationally ranked Nevaeh Wardlow of Baker University.

Freshman Mina Himmel placed fourth at 145 pounds with a 4-2 record, and Shianne Whited finished sixth at 180 pounds with three wins against two losses.

Central will turn its attention to the postseason beginning with the Heart of America Conference Championships Saturday, March 1 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
