 
	
	
	
	  Kansas City, Mo. - The Central Methodisdt Women's Soccer duo of Alicia Zamora and Kirstine Lykke were named the Heart Women's Soccer Players of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday.
Zamora earned Heart Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time in 2023 (9/11), while Lykke was named Heart Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.
For Zamora, the senior defender led the Eagles to a 2-0 record this past week. She converted a penalty kick against Baker last Wednesday, marking her fourth goal of the year. Zamora anchored a defense that allowed just 6.5 shots on average in two matches and one goal against No. 18 MNU.
Lykke finished the week scoring three goals including a brace against MidAmerica Saturday afternoon in Olathe. Two of her three goals proved to be game winners, as the Eagles improved to 3-0 in Heart of America Athletic Conference action.
Central will next face Graceland University Saturday, Sept. 30 at 5:00 p.m. in Lamoni, Iowa.
