
New Orleans, La. - The Central Methodist Men's Track and Field program is ranked No. 15 in the second checkpoint of the NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Rating Index, which was announced on Tuesday.
Grand View is the other Heart school represented in the rating, as the Vikings are No. 21.
Ethan Smith and Hunter Mont Cary are ranked fifth and sixth nationally in the decathlon with 6,459 and 6,359 points, respectively. Brayton Stephenson is fifth in the country in the shot put with a toss of 16.90 meters.
The men's 4x800m relay team of Hugo Massa, Jacchaeus Taylor, David Leon, and Doriye Jackson are ranked fifth in the NAIA in the event with a time of 7:42.44.
Additionally, the 4x100m relay team of Adam Trachsel, Charles Young, Sam Thomas, and Tristan Boyce landed just inside the Top 10 at No. 9 in the relay, clocking a time of 40.89 seconds.
Central will next compete in the UCM Invitational on Friday, April 11, in Warrensburg, Mo.
