Camden Levett

Camden Levett

Camden Levett begins his second season as Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach with the women's basketball program in 2023-24.

In his first year back, he helped guide the Lady Eagles to a Conference Regular Season Title, Conference Tournament Championship, the program's first-ever No. 1 national ranking, and their second-straight trip to the NAIA Fab Four.

For his efforts, Levett was named the 2022-23 Heart of America Conference Assistant Coach of the Year. Altogether, he coached the Heart Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, five All-Conference selections, three NAIA All-Americans, and two NAIA All-Tournament Team players.  Coach Cam isn’t a stranger when it comes to successful programs. He spent the 2021-22 season at Moberly Area Community College where he worked as an assistant coach for one season. The Lady Greyhounds went 26-6 and made a trip to Lubbock, Texas to compete in the NJCAA National Tournament. They garnered five All-Regions selections, two WBCA All-American’s, and one NJCAA All-American. Many of these players would go on to play at the Division I level.

Prior to his time at MACC, Levett served as the Head Coach at Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming. The team improved its record in each season, making the Region IX Tournament in
Levett's final year. In addition, the team earned two All-Region selections and two All-Region Defensive selections.

Before landing his first head coaching position at the NJCAA level, Levett spent one season as an assistant at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. RMC won 23 games, a new single-season school record. The Battlin’ Bears had a top-three defense nationally, holding opponents to just 51 points/game.

Other accomplishments during this time period included; two NAIA All-Americans, four All-Conference selections, reaching the Frontier Conference Tournament Championship, and earning a No. 5 seed at the NAIA National Tournament.

Levett’s first experience coaching at the collegiate level started at Central Methodist, where he spent two seasons as a Graduate Assistant for Head Coach Mike Davis. During that two-year span, the Lady Eagles posted a 50-15 record while averaging nearly 80 points/game. The program garnered eight Heart All-Conference selections, four NAIA All-Americans, won the 2016 Heart Regular Season Championship, and punched their ticket to consecutive NAIA National Tournaments.

Levett also coached Boys High School Basketball at Grandview and Vista Peak Prep in Colorado for three seasons.

Coach Cam graduated from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Science Degree in K-12 Physical Education. He then earned and a Master’s degree in Education from Central Methodist University in 2017. Levett is married to his wife, Jamie, who is also a CMU Grad and former Captain on the Lady Eagles Soccer Team.

“I'm excited to see my coaching career come full circle and bring me back to CMU. The tradition of Lady Eagle Basketball, the success from last year’s Fab 4 finish, and to work alongside Coach Davis again, all factored into my decision to return to the sidelines in Puckett Field House. My family and I are thrilled to wear Eagle Green again.” - Camden Levett

"We are so excited to have Coach Cam back with us. Our Lady Eagle program has such a strong tradition of having outstanding assistant coaches. He will only add on to the success. Now, let's go recruit some more Lady Eagles." - Mike Davis
