Fayette, Mo. - The Central Methodist University Department of Athletics is pleased to announce the 2024 Nestys Student-Athlete Awards. The ceremony will take place Monday, April 29 in Puckett Field House. The awards will honor the outstanding accomplishments of student-athletes for the 2023-24 year, both academically and athletically.
The award categories are as follows; Coach Moz Champions of Character, Eddie and Ellie Spirit Awards, Male and Female Newcomer of the Year, Iron Eagle Award, Male and Female Performance of the Year - Individual Sport, Male and Female Performance of the Year - Team Sport, Most Oustanding Male and Female Athlete, the Mark Robb award, Pannier Female Athlete of the Year and the Estes Male Athlete of the Year.
Central will also recognize the academic and community awards which include; the Luetjen Endowed Scholar Athlete Award, the President's Award for Academic Success, and the Heart of Central AD Recognition Award.
All student-athletes, managers, coaches and graduate assistants are invited to attend the event. Those that RSVP to the event should arrive at approximately 5:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at 5:45 p.m. with the awards presentation beginning at 6:15 p.m. Student-athletes, managers, coaches and graduate assistants should have received an email with a link to RSVP to the event. Those who do not RSVP may still attend the awards presentation at 6:15 p.m. once dinner has concluded.
