Kansas City, Mo. - After an outstanding showing inside the circle, Central Methodist senior pitcher Haile Farris was named the Heart of America Pitcher of the Week by the conference office.
It marks the first weekly conference honor for the Camdenton, Missouri native.
Farris and the Eagles went 4-0 last weekend with sweeps of Park and Peru State.
The senior threw a perfect game in a 7-0 shutout against the Pirates, striking out four batters. It marked the first perfect game for the Eagles since April 22nd, 2023.
Farris followed up that up with a complete game shut out of Peru State College Sunday. She gave up no runs on seven hits and finished the day with seven strikeouts.
Altogether, Farris threw 14 innings, struck out 11 batters, and didn't give up a run the entire week.
Farris and the Eagles currently stand at 33-3 and 14-0 in the Heart of America.
Central will look to remain atop of the Heart of America Conference standings with a doubleheader against William Penn Saturday, April 20 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
