Kansas City, Mo. - For the first time in her career, Central Methodist sophomore outfielder Kaysie Jolley was named the Heart of America Player of the Week by the conference office Monday.
It marks the second Heart weekly award for the Eagles, as Lauren Hill and Jordyn Ball were each named the Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week respectively back on Feb. 13.
Jolley hit .727 as the Eagles finished the weekend with a 4-0 record. The sophomore went 8-for-11 at the plate with two home runs. She also recorded a triple and drove in three runs in addition to four walks.
Central will face Cottey College on Wednesday, March 13 for a doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Nevada, Mo.
