Men's Soccer Falls to (RV) Clarke in Road Regular Season Finale

Men's Soccer Falls to (RV) Clarke in Road Regular Season Finale

Dubuque, Iowa - The CMU Men's Soccer team dropped its final regular season road contest of the year against (RV) Clarke University by a score of 3-1 Saturday afternoon in Dubuque, Iowa.

Central now stands at 9-5-3 and 3-5-2 in the Heart of America. Clarke improves to 9-4-1 and 6-4 in conference play.

The Eagles found the early goal just seven minutes into the match, as Giulian Medaglia scored unassisted to give CMU a 1-0 lead.

However, Clarke would tie the match in the 18th minute and ultimately go out in front just before halftime with the go ahead goal in the 39th minute.

Trailing 2-1, Central's defense held firm for the majority of the second half. The Pride would ultimately seal the win with a goal in the 89th minute to secure the 3-1 victory.

CMU returns home to host defending NAIA National Champion MidAmerica Nazarene Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 7:00 p.m. at Davis Field.
