Davenport, Iowa - The Central Methodist Men's Bowling team took part in the highly competitive Leatherneck Classic this past weekend in Davenport, Iowa.
The Classic, which is a tier two tournament and one of the deepest fields in the country, featured hundreds of bowlers from 44 different collegiate institutions.
"The team started better this tournament but struggled the last game of the team games Saturday," stated Head Coach Kevin Duncan. "We never really recovered in the Baker Team games. However, the last four games of Baker Team were the best of the 4-game block, so we were able to end on a good note."
Senior Eric Moore was the highest finisher for the Eagles, as the Macon, Missouri native placed 65th with a total score of 969. He averaged 193.8 pins/game, with the fourth game being his best with a score of 224.
Cole Johnson, Colton Carrier, Ryan Wilburn, Kenneth Lolley, and Takudswa Mukonzamariro also bowled for the Eagles.
As a team, the men posted a 38th place finish with a score of 6821.
