
Fayette, Mo. - Central Methodist redshirt junior wrestler Jake Henson was recognized as a member of the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team earlier this month.
It is the first time Henson has earned the award.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes At-Large honorees in five divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA, and the College Division.
To be nominated for the All-District Team, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, be a starter or important reserve, and hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average at their current institution.
Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
NCAA, NAIA and College Division Men's At-Large Teams will be announced on Wednesday, July 9.
Henson, a physical education major from Lebanon, Missouri finished 2024-25 with a 15-15 record in the 197 pound weight class.
He secured an eighth place finish at the highly touted Missouri Valley Invitational in January and finished fifth at the Heart of America Conference Championships in February.
